Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman from America. She is the controlling owner of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently serves as its president. Buss was born in California and grew up part of a wealthy family. Their father Jerry Buss was a real-estate businessman who became owner of the Lakers and other sports businesses. When she was in the year 1972, her parents broke up in divorce and she was left feeling emotionally abandoned. At the age of 19 she inherited the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as the General Manager. After that, she established an organization called the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. She served as the president of the Great Western Forum before assuming the role of vice-president for the Lakers. Her father passed away in 2013, and his control over ownership of the Lakers was inherited by Buss and her five siblings through a family trust that gave each sibling equal voting rights. She took on the role of the president for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner of Women of Wrestling, a professional wrestling promotion with headquarter in Los Angeles.
