Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a performer who was born in Newark New Jersey on the 9th August, 1963. Their parents include gospel stars Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard), and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne warwick is also a singer. In Newark Whitney, she began singing with the church choir when she was a young child. When she was 15 years old, she joined her mother in the background vocals for Chaka's smash Im Every Woman from 1978. She then went on to join the backing vocals of Lou Rawls and Jermaine and even her mother. The year 1981 saw her begin working as a singer with New York's funk band Material. It was her excellent vocals in this band that attracted the attention of record companies like Arista. Whitney Houston became the top-selling debut single for a new artist in the year 1985. The album contained several hit songs including How Will I know You Give Good Love Saving All My Love For you and The Most Beautiful Love of All. It allowed her to achieve seven US chart-topping songs in succession and was more than the Beatles. It was the initial US year the album had sold more than 3 million copies. Then it went on to be purchased by 25 million people worldwide, earning her her first Grammy. Whitney, her album Whitney was released in 1987 and featuring the smash songs What Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, built upon her previous success. However it came with The Bodyguard (1996) that made her one of the best-selling albums in pop music. While the film wasn't highly appreciated and neither was her performance, the soundtrack of the film's Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You was able to reach the top spot on both the albums and singles charts in America for a period of time. She sold 44,000,000 copies. Her daughter Bobbi is born the month of March of 1993, a year after she wed Bobby Brown. At this point, her documented drug use started and in 1996, Bobbi Kristina Brown had been using drugs on a daily basis.

Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN anchor and political reporter. Her past work includes NBC, CBS and other prestigious channels. Her productions include certain shows on CNN's weekends like Evans & Novak Late Edition as well as Inside Politics. Bash has been awarded several awards and honours.
